Mike Newman, FOHBC Board Treasurer, has been collecting antique bottles since 1981. His main interests are colored sodas from Georgia and South Carolina and historical flasks. He likes color runs in both of those categories, as well as runs in umbrella inkwells, Drake’s Plantation Bitters, and barrel bitters. Mike also collects gold and silver coins and Augusta, Georgia postcards and paper memorabilia. He has been married for 30 years to Julie and has two children – Kelly (age 25) and Kim (age 23). Mike has been Treasurer of the Horse Creek Bottle Club since its inception several years ago. Mikes other interests include tennis, golf, disc golf, and putt-putt.
