The Nebraska Antique Bottle and Collectors Club lost a valuable member in Lynn Koehler of Niobrara, Nebraska on July 18. He was 72. He was laid to rest in his childhood and young adult hometown of Geneva, Nebraska. He was a member of the Geneva 1956 State Basketball Championship Team. He was also an avid outdoorsman involved in hunting, fishing, and rock collecting. After high school, Lynn attended college at Doanne College and Wayne State College, both in Nebraska. His profession in his early years was managing lumber yards in several Nebraska, Kansas, and Wyoming towns. In later years Lynn earned a degree from Nebraska
Indian Community College. From here he became a licensed abuse counselor in the Santee Sioux H.E.A.R.T. program. Lynn started his bottle collecting in Wyoming and stayed active until we lost him. Lynn was also a member of the Iowa Club. Despite his many health problems he set up at many bottle shows in the Midwest and was an active seller on Ebay. If anyone had a question about a bottle, he could help you out. His out going personality and friendship will be greatly missed.
