The Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors (FOHBC) cordially invites your club to join a dedicated group of individuals and clubs who collect, study, and display the treasured glass and ceramic gems of yesteryear.
The Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors is a non-profit organization supporting collectors of historical bottles, flasks, jars, and related items. The goal of the FOHBC is to promote the collection, study, preservation, and display of historical bottles and related artifacts and to share this information with other collectors and individuals.
Federation membership is open to any individual or club interested in the enjoyment and study of antique bottles. The Federation publication, Antique Bottle & Glass Collector is well known throughout the hobby world as the leading publication for those interested in bottles and “go-withs”. The magazine includes articles of historical interest, stories chronicling the hobby and the history of bottle collecting, digging stories, regional news, show reports, advertisements, show listings, and an auction directory. Antique Bottle & Glass Collector is truly the place to go when information is needed about this popular and growing hobby.
In addition to providing strength to a national/international organization devoted to the welfare of the hobby, your FOHBC Club Membership benefits include:
- Insurance: Affiliated Club Membership is $80 without insurance. $130 includes liability insurance coverage for all club-sponsored events. All FOHBC Affiliated Member Clubs, if an insurance option is chosen and the additional payment is made, are included in the Federation’s Group General Liability Insurance Plan. This policy is designed to provide liability insurance coverage for the Affiliated Club’s annual show(s) and other club-sponsored activities.. Example: A club chair or his or her designee contacts John O’Neill (FOHBC Director) and he will email the COI form to the club designee. Do not contact the insurance company directly. After completing, the form is returned to John O’Neill by email. The form will then be approved and sent to the insurance company. The insurance company will mail a hard copy to the facility address on the COI form. FOHBC will email a copy of the certificate to the club designee. Please submit your COI form as soon as your show date is set to allow time for processing.
- Advertising: A 50% reduction in display advertising (see chart at bottom of page) in the magazine and the newsletter. In addition to this, free posting of the ad on the Federation website (fohbc.org) as a part of the advertising package when you advertise your show in the magazine.
- Links: The Federation will post links from our website into your clubs website free of charge and will assist with the creation of a web page for you, as our webmasters time allows. You supply the photos and general text and we will do our best to get you up and running!
- Ribbons: A free show ribbon for Best in Show and/or Most Educational Display at your show. Submit ribbon request to Michael Seeliger, 608-575-2922, mwseeliger@gmail.com
- National Antique Bottle Conventions: A National Antique Bottle Convention in one of our four United States regions each year.
- Research Material: Access to archived articles in Antique Bottle & Glass Collector, slide show presentations, webinars etc.
- Hall of Fame & Honor Roll: Each year, the Federation elects members to the Honor Roll and Hall of Fame to recognize their individual contributions to the hobby of bottle collecting. Our clubs are encouraged to sponsor individuals for these honors.
- Club Contests: The Federation sponsors annual Club Contests for individuals belonging to member clubs as a means to recognize their outstanding contributions.

We need your support! Our continued existence is dependent upon your participation as well as expanding our membership. The Federation is the only national organization devoted to the enjoyment, study, preservation, collection, and display of historical bottles.
The FOHBC welcomes individuals who would like to contribute by running for Board positions or by sharing their expertise and volunteering their talents in other areas of interest such as contributions to our publications, assistance with the Federation’s national shows, or through membership promotion.

Club membership runs from May 1 to April 30.
Your club can join FOHBC or renew its membership in one of two ways:
1) Fill out the following form (see below) and pay $80 annually (without insurance) or $130 (includes liability insurance) via PayPal. You will be redirected to that page after you complete the form.
2) Print out the Club Membership Application and fill it in. Write a check or money order made out to the Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors and mail it with the completed form to:
