Affiliated Club Membership
The Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors cordially invites your club to join a dedicated group of individuals and clubs who collect, study, and display the treasured glass and ceramic gems of yesteryear. We are a non-profit organization supporting collectors of historical bottles, flasks, jars, and related items. Our goal is to promote the collection, study, preservation, and display of historical bottles and related artifacts and to share this information with other collectors and individuals.
Federation membership is open to any individual or club interested in the enjoyment and study of antique bottles. This page is for club memberships (individual applications are here).
Club Membership benefits include:
- Insurance: Affiliated Club Membership is $80 without insurance. $130 includes liability insurance coverage for all club-sponsored events. All FOHBC Affiliated Member Clubs, if an insurance option is chosen and the additional payment is made, are included in the Federation’s Group General Liability Insurance Plan. This policy is designed to provide liability insurance coverage for the Affiliated Club’s annual show(s) and other club-sponsored activities.. Example: A club chair or his or her designee contacts John O’Neill (FOHBC Director) and he will email the COI form to the club designee. Do not contact the insurance company directly. After completing, the form is returned to John O’Neill by email. The form will then be approved and sent to the insurance company. The insurance company will mail a hard copy to the facility address on the COI form. FOHBC will email a copy of the certificate to the club designee. Please submit your COI form as soon as your show date is set to allow time for processing.
- Advertising: A 50% reduction in display advertising (Ad rates here) in the magazine and the newsletter. In addition to this, free posting of the ad on this website as a part of the advertising package when you advertise your show in the magazine.
- Links: The Federation will post links from this website to your club’s website free of charge.
- Ribbons: A free show ribbon for Best in Show and/or Most Educational Display at your show. Submit ribbon request to Michael Seeliger, 608-575-2922, mwseeliger@gmail.com
- National Antique Bottle Conventions: Periodic National Antique Bottle Conventions are held in one of our four United States regions.
- Research Material: Access to archived articles in Antique Bottle & Glass Collector, slide show presentations, webinars etc.
- Hall of Fame & Honor Roll: The Federation elects members to the Honor Roll and Hall of Fame to recognize their individual contributions to the hobby of bottle collecting. Our clubs are encouraged to nominate and sponsor individuals for these honors. Nominations are due by January 1st of each year.
- Club Contests: The Federation sponsors Club Contests in conjunction with National shows for individuals belonging to member clubs as a means to recognize their outstanding contributions.
- Providing strength to a national/international organization devoted to the welfare of the hobby.
We need your support! Our continued existence is dependent upon your participation as well as expanding our membership. The Federation is the only national organization devoted to the enjoyment, study, preservation, collection, and display of historical bottles.

Club membership runs from May 1 to April 30.
Your club can join FOHBC or renew its membership in several ways:
