“One man’s junk is another man’s art”
Just wanted to share some bottle photographs. My good friend Richard Zappata took me to see the Oro Grande California bottle tree farm today. The bottle displays are very interesting, but the bottles do not have much collectible value. When you see the bottle farm from Highway 66 you might think it is just another junk yard. But stepping inside this bottle forest to take a closer look is a visual treat. The artist Elmer Long has been creating these bottle sculptures for many decades. There are insulators, collectable toys and advertizing signs mixed in the sculptures. It is an impressive front yard art museum.
